Mother of four, wife of author extraordinaire, college magazine editor, Gator (B.S. JM, '05), native Key Wester, idea maven and self-proclaimed engineering groupie. 

Stuff you don't know and may not want to — but I'm gonna tell you anyway...

• I have horses and love to pick their hooves.
• I spend way too much time on Facebook.
• I'm not a reader.
• I'd do almost anything for a great margarita (all legal of course).
• I married my journalism professor.
• This is my first job in journalism (bedsides some freelance gigs).
• I'm addicted to the em dash ( — ) and vehemently opposed to the "that."
• The Florida Engineer staff calls me "The Opinionated One" (I think it's affectionate).
• Folks are learning to be careful what they say because more than likely I'll find a way to take the idea and craft it into the magazine — somehow, someway.

This is the sixth magazine I have published in the name of Gator Engineering. I continue to test the boundaries of most alumni magazines and try to produce a publication reflecting the energy of Gator Engineers — all while bucking the stereotype of the pocket-protector-wearing nerds and infusing the magazine pages with the coolness and props engineers deserve.

I hope The Florida Engineer is a magazine alumni will honor with coffee-table display. Perhaps the content will even inspire you to go for bragging rights with colleagues about the fabulous things happening in the College.
